so, my walmart betta, Gimpy, is a mess. the fin issues, i can deal with. the SBD, doesn't bother me.
what does, is, every time he takes a breath, bubbles escape from his right gill. i've never seen any of my other bettas do this before. is it normal, or should i worry? D:
he's currently in a 1.5 tank, with no filter, no bubbler, and, sadly, no heater at this time(i'm hoping my mom'll take me to the pet store today, cause i'm gonna get him one then. walmart's weren't adjustable, so i didn't wanna get one i couldn't adjust the temp on). i haven't fed him yet, i don't see any poops(which kinda worries me), he only has a silk plant and an Indian Almond Leaf in his tank.
i'm really hoping i can save this little guy. he has alot of people rooting for him, and i've grown pretty fond of him already. i'm hoping i got to him, before it's too late to save him.
i can tell, he's been fought. :/ the way his fins look, and the fact that i saw fin bits in a healthier bettas cup, makes me realize that. and, his cup was pretty nasty, but not the nastiest there. for that reason alone, i'm adding aquarium salt to his tank.
