Dividing?

i have a 20G tank that i want to divide up and was wondering if it matters if a female is next to a male and if she or he will get too stressed out?

SOME people think it's a bad idea, that the "spawning hormones" will drive them crazy. I say that's untrue because I have a female in a divided 10 gallon with two males in the other slots, and they're fine. I think it's just people being paranoid. It should be fine.

If you do it I would suggest putting a decoration or plant in front of the divider to break the view up a bit.
