RIP Marco

Our little 'feisty fish' had to be euthanized today and it was really tough to do. We found him one morning around Christmastime floating at the top of the tank not able to right himself. The bloat and swim bladder disorder coupled with constipation brutalized him. We tried everything to help him but finally dropsy reared itself and even though he fought it was just too much for the little guy. He fought even trying to net him when I was transferring him to the final bath. I feel awful. I will miss my little guy who always greeted me in the morning, flared when I got home to tell me where the heck was I all day.. I would catch him at night swimming around the tank looking at his reflection and getting all tough with it. *sniffle*

Goodbye my feisty fish.
