I feed mine once a day (fry get microworms or frozen/live foods, adults get frozen and pellet foods). On the weekend I feed throughout the day with microworms, frozen BBS and bloodworms and a once daily feeding of bloodworms for the adults.

Okay this is what we feed our betta 2 in the am 2 at night...

We are getting a 5 gal tank and my daughter wants our betta to have another betta friendly fish in with him so can I feed the new fish betta food since it won't be a betta and do I feed this new fish the same amount/ time?

yes, I think consistency is the things. I feed micropellets in the am, and a bit of FD shrimp for a dinner snack. Today I did a water change. Instead of the shrimp, I fed her a few FD bloodworms while she was in her waiting cup. She LOVED them!
