Question Sanitation Question

I have a plastic 3 gallon that I'd like to move Trublion into, but Teru was living in it for little less than a week before he died of, what I believe was, a fungal infection. I'm wondering about the sanitary steps I should take to assure that Trublion doesn't catch anything? I've already boiled the gravel and the plants that were in the tank.

Just thoroughly clean the tank try yusing salt water and then rinse it off well.

It sounds like you are off to a good start. There really isnt too much you need to do left. I would just suggest washing out the entire tank with hot water. That should be all you need to make your tank safe i believe.

If you're paranoid, you can use some vinegar. Vinegar cleans like bleach, but is water soluble, so after 3-5 rinses (just to be sure!) you can get it out of the tank. Even if some vinegar is left in the tank, the worse harm it can cause to your tank is a change in ph.

I sometimes clean my tank out with vinegar, and I've had no problems :)
