locked jaw?

louie seems to have his mouth locked open he can eat he like throws his head up and down and eats but whats the cause and treatment for this?

How long has this been ongoing?

I don't think with bettas, there is anything you can do with the locked jaws. It's not so easy to look inside what is obstructing it. Do you have anything in the tank he could have picked up and swallowed? Most of the time, the lock jaws just fix themselves without interference assuming the problems were either obstruction of foreign objects or muscle dislocation.

only a few days its monday and i posted this saturday i noticed it friday, the passage looks clear hes still pigging out at dinner time, he still flares and teases Melvin. the tank is bare,except for a bunch of java moss. im getting gravel and maybe plants today
