I think girl bettas have more 'personality' than males. Everyone says this, but I never believed it, because my males are always spunky and flaring and swimming, and one of my boys always looks straight at my face when I walk in the room... hard to have more personality than that! But last week I got a new female betta, and I swear this girl's got something goin on! She is constantly exploring. She loves to swim up and down around the corners. Right now, she is sleeping in a ditch in the gravel under a plant, how cute! She can literally sleep in the windows of her spongebob cave, she just lays in them and sleeps. :) If I make a ring with my fingers in the tank, (make an O with your fingers, that's what I did) she swims through it and once she even laid on my finger for a few seconds, it was the most amazing thing! Even her face makes you think of a puppy dog, and it almost looks like she can think and speak sometimes! (Of course I know thaaat's not true, but still! :)) I definitely believe now that girls have more personality than the boys! But does anyone know why? And even though the boys are usually prettier, the girls have sooo much spunk... why do most die in the stores?
