How do I acclimate him? He's in a tank already, how would I do that?

scoop him into the cup he came in (or a bag) with the old tank water in there. Then, in the new tank, put him in to "bob", making sure he wont sink. After 5 minutes of bobbing to get used to the new temp, put a bit of new tank water in every 5 or so minutes for at least 10minutes. This should take at least 10-15 minutes in total.

Im assuming youre going to empty the tank to move it, so you should do this.

Before you put him in, allow the heater to warm up a bit to at least 76'. Monitor it when he's in there, dont let the temperature climb from 76-80 in an hour, thats too fast! That* will shock him. Make sure its gradual, and if its going too fast, unplug it for a bit and repeat.

If youre moving the whole tank, water included, you dont need to acclimate him again. Just plug the heater back in and its fine.

Ok. got it. fill up the new tank with 76 degree water. Put fish and old tank water into a plastic bag.stick just above the water surface.
Whats the recommended amount of days I do this?

(thanks guys for all the help! I have 4 written pages of betta info from this and other sites. ^u^)

Here is how I acclimate bettas (and other fish):

To acclimate your betta to his new home:

1. Fill the tank with declhorinated water. Adjust the hot & cold taps to get the water as close to 76 -
82 as possible.

2. Float the bag with the betta in it in the tank for 15 minutes to equalize the temperature.

3. Open the bag & pour out some of the bag water and put 1/4 cup of tank water in the bag with the betta.

4. Wait 5 minutes & repeat step 3. Wait another 5 minutes & repeat Step 3 again.

5. After another 5 minutes, gently release your betta into his new tank.
