What kind of Betta is my little boy?

Thanks guys! What exactly makes my boy a blue grizzly veil tail? I think he's a super dark purple.

Oh my Lord does he have quirks left and right! He flared at my netbook at one point and he loves to flare at me. Once he flared at me every time I came to see if he was adjusting to being at home at my parents place after I took him home with me for winter break so I just left him alone for a day and a 1/2 (of course I still fed him). Then I left for my dad's place in WV and he got completely spoiled by my mom (no clue how she managed that).

One of his funny games he made up is that he likes to hit his face on the side of his bowl and then swim up and down and up and down and repeat for at least 5 minutes. He also has recently taken to attacking the inside of his log and then the outside of it.

My fish is so quirky and overly stupid but I love him. Where would I locate a little mirror for me to stick in for a few minutes and see if he takes to it?
