Don't use a type of salt meant for saltwater tanks. Rock salt without any additives is best.

Ok so I found some aquarium salt. I did a 100% water change to both tanks. Did the recomended dose, and added de-chlorined water. I hope they get better!

I also bought some ick treatment. Will this help kill the fungus if it doesnt get any better?

Well the fungus on prince seems to be going away, but elmo died ;(

What is wrong with my fish? Can someone answer and tell me how to make him better before he dies? He has lost his boyency and has alot more white stuff on him.

Well "white stuff" can be different things. Can you take some pictures and describe everything super clearly? Appearance, behavior, color, is he eating/pooping that kind of stuff. Also, have you been doing the daily 100% water changes with aquarium salt so far?

The white stuff is fungus. Its cottony and stringy and taking over his whole body. Hes dying, hes just floating on his side and when I touch him he swims a little.

Columnaris is like strands of hair and fungus is more cottony.
