Please help diagnose my betta!

Hi! I just adopted my betta fish from someone I know, not from a store, and this betta had unfortunately been in a little fight with another betta on accident and had a bit of his fins torn off. anyways, I took him home about 3 1/2 weeks ago and he was fine for 2 1/2 weeks, but a week ago, he suddenly stopped eating! I feed him betta pellets, and he used to like them a lot. I didn't over feed him or anything. He just stopped eating, and now his blue color is changing!!! His water is filtered, and cleaned regularly.

I have attached 2 photos, 1 photo of before his illness (the picture is a little dark, sorry), when I just got him, and one after, of how he is doing now. Please help diagnose him so I can find out how to treat him!! thanks!!

How big is your tank? What is the temperature in the tank?
How long has it been since he ate?

in the second pic his fins are healing nicely! id do nothing but keep his water clean and warm he'll be perfect in a few weeks.

Welcome to the forum and sorry you are having problems.....

A few questions...
How big is the tank, how much and how often are the water changes, water temp, type of filter, live plants, additives used, have you used any medication or tried any treatments, if so, what, how much, how long, any tank mates...

his healing fins are not my concern- it's that he's NOT EATING and he's turning reddish now!

What size tank and is the bamboo totally submerged or are the top out of the water?

Right now I would start by making some 50% daily water changes for a few days and see if that will perk him up and start eating...what kind of foods are you offering him

when you say no additives, do you use water conditioner?
id remove the bamboo for a while and use a fake plant.

i wouldnt worry about the red color, he's got red wash

His coloring is normal. Many times a fish will color up after it's been put in proper conditions.

As for why he's not eating.. could be stress, cold, water quality issue, or illness. First thing I would do is start with daily water changes, warmer temps (around 80*), and try offering different foods... live or frozen dipped in garlic to try to entice him to eat.
