Question Beginer At Breeding

I am a beginner at breeding and I need a few questions answered. If you don't mind. I have one girl and one boy, the female is
about a month or two older than the male,
and they have been at my house for several months now
Are they still O.K to breed? + if anyone has tips for beginners at breeding that would be wonderful.

What is your breeding setup like? Breeding is extremely involved and can be very dangerous to the fish if you don't have a really good idea as to what you are doing. How long have you been researching breeding? If you haven't been researching for at least several months I highly recommend you wait and learn everything you possibly can before you attempt.

This website has a lot of information:

I don't have a breeding setup yet, I
have decided to wait until I am done researching for a while,
I have not been researching long but I am going to research
until I feel confident with all this.

That sounds like a great plan! If, throughout your research, you have some specific questions that arise, there are a lot of knowledgeable breeders here who give great advice. Good luck with your research and eventual breeding! We'd love to hear your plans when you're ready to start breeding!

Where did you get the fish? Sometimes pet store fish are older and are less likely to have a successful spawn.
