HELP ASAP.... Spot on head of one of my males in divided tank..

This was NOT there this morning. It is VERY noticeable.. I can see it when I'm a few feet from the tank... The picture doesn't show up well but here it is anyway:



Housing
What size is your tank? 5.5
What temperature is your tank? 78*
Does your tank have a filter? Yes.
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No.
Is your tank heated? Yes.
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? It's divided.. so two males.

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Aqueon betta food.
How often do you feed your betta fish? 2 pellets in the morning and 2 pellets in the night and freeze dried blood worms for a treat once a week.

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? I am currently doing 2 a week.
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 50%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Prime.

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters? No, I do not have a test kit.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Yes, there is now a big yellow spot on his head.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? Hasn't changed.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Just now, it was NOT there this morning, I check my bettas every morning.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? I put him in a .5 gallon tank with the same tank water floating in the bigger tank to keep the water the same temp.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? No.
How old is your fish (approximately)? I bought him in early Feb.

It could be a bonk on the head, or possibly him rubbing against the divider (especially if made of mesh). Is it fuzzy or anything like that?

And that's good you removed him- just make sure he's warm enough but dont roast him on that tank :B

It isn't fuzzy.. I donno what to do, it doesn't look any better from last night.

For now, Id say keep him in QT for a little bit and watch to see if it gets bigger, worsens, etc. Keep his water changes frequent and keep him happy. Its probably a bump to the noggin, IMO, but I cant be sure.
