Pellets vs. Flakes

Which do you think is better? Flakes or pellets? IS one better than the other?

My fish seem to really like the flakes. I crush the flakes, so they only get a small amount.

What do you use?

Pellets. They have a higher nutritional value, make it easier to give your fish the right amount, and are less messy. They also are less likely to cause bloat because they don't expand as much as flakes.

flakes can be messy and more difficult to measure out. I have one betta who only likes to eat flakes though. I make sure to pick out one tiny flake at a time so he can eat it up before it sinks.

I prefer pellets. I have never been a fan of flakes. It's just to difficult to give the right portion which tends to make the tank messy.

I also prefer pellets. Because they float, my betta eats them before they sink and make the tank messy. I've also heard that they have greater nutritional value.

I couldn't find a high-quality pellet that was small enough for my betta's mouth. Omega One makes really good foods as far as I know, and my store carries betta flakes that my guy really seemed to like. He likes pouncing at the flakes when they float close to him. So both of my bettas get flakes.

I feed mine omega one flakes and bettamin rotating days. A couple blood worms as treats a few times a week (two or three times at the most). I find these flakes don't sink at all.

Thanks for you answers guys!
