Interesting Behavior

I think my new little red betta Archimedes has OCD! He likes to do the "limbo" under an overhanging plant leaf at the front of his tank. To fit between it and the gravel, he has to flip (and swim) entirely sideways. He doesn't let any part of him touch either the plant, or the gravel. He will go around and around the leaf up to twenty times in a row! I wish I could videotape it. He seems healthy, exuberant, and very active overall.

Are there other bettas out there with odd or interesting behaviors?

Mine likes to go directly to the center of the tank's bottom and go completely vertical.

A have a soft plastic anacharis-looking plant that floats, my female betta likes to lay on it. She can rest completely but the air is like half a centimeter away.

Yeah, my betta does strange things too. He like to swim behind the filter then ride the current to the bottom of the tank. He does that over and over. :P

Hey, thatgirl. Im not sure if you've realized, but this is a somewhat old thread- one that would be more or less considered "resolved". We try not to revive old posts so that other people's new or more urgent posts can be read quickly and kept on the first or second page. Bring back an older post kicks off newer, more pressing ones.
