Okay so here's what my brain's been cooking up lately as I was helping my mom clean the tanks.

I used to have a gold fish in a tank smaller then the ones I have now and since she never grew my dad added a snail and he out lived her by three years. He wasn't too big but all I can remember is he had a swirled shell and was all black with blue.

If I found this type of snail again would I be able to add one to each tank? I'm thinking it'll make it a lot easier on us during cleaning if it's one that can eat some of the waste off or the algae off the ornaments.

I'm fifteen now and the tiime I had that snail was around when I was six or seven. It croaked after I turned eight. The thing was around the size of my thumb nail not very big.

I know I can't add other actual fish to the tank including shrimp but would a couple of snails be alright?

Whatever snails clean off the sides of the tank, they make up for in poop. :P

Hehe, maybe shrimp? I hear they have a very low bioload. btw, I'm 15 too :D

Shrimp are great in almost every betta appropriate tank. Low bioload, non aggressive, and small.
