Talking My newwww buddy. C:

I just recently added a new betta into my life. C: He is a lovely cream color with red speckles in his tail. The picture really doesn't do him justice. He is going to go into the orange themed section in my new divided tank.! C: So excited.

I don't have a name for him yet. :(

Omg congrats! He looks just like my betta only difference is my betta has a white dorsal fin with black dots on it but other than that they look exactly the same! Does yours have blue eyes too?

I have an orange dal, too. I named him Allejandro.

I dont know if youre into quirky names, but Ive named a betta Maccaroni before, go with something delightfully silly and charming :B
Im highly considering, if I get another fish in the next few months, naming one Ham. Yeah, like the meat. Heehee X3 <3

A dalmatian betta has spots of usually a reddish/copper color in their fins.

Many are "orange" dals like ours, which started from a Thai breeder. Theyre rareish and hard to breed because the gene that gets the spots is hard to breed in, and even with two dal parents, you might only have a single dal in an entire 100+ egg spawn ;)

Wow, YAY. lol thanks. They had him at my LPS, no special ordering or nothing. Although my LPS has all kinds of crazy looking Bettas. One was like a a light slate blue with orange spots...Crazy looks. Another was a baby blue CT with a peach face. I wanted him tooooooo. xD
