Awesome Mom!

I was on the phone with my mom today updating her on the grandchildren (bettas, lol). I was telling her about my awesome mini bow find at petco when out of the blue she asks if I want some java moss. I was like "huh!" She said she has a whole tub of it and she'll send me a ziplock full in the mail tomorrow! Score!

Java Moss is one of the few plants that it as close to "throw it in the tank and forget it" as you can get. Keep up on the trimmings, because in good water conditions, it thrives. It's choked up the impeller in my father's angelfish tank before. Other than keeping it in check, it's very easy to care for, and your betta will be all the better for it.

I have a question, i'm getting a log for my betta soon (just one of the small betta logs to put on the bottom of the tank) could i encourage java moss to grow on the log? How would i do that?

It's better than having to purchase a bunch of java moss. My parents don't assist me with anything besides medicine and food when it comes to Luka and Miku. You should've seen their faces when they saw that I bought another betta yesterday. I tried calling them, but they didn't answer and I couldn't stand not having Miku, so I purchased her. You're really lucky that you have supporting parents.
