Ah, THAT'S the sand I bought, down to the color. Love it (and my cory cats and loach really appreciate it)!

The thing is, how does sand work with plants?
I only use silk plants in my tank. The sand holds them in just fine.

Old Fish Lady (OFL) does a lot with real plants and various substrates. You might PM her and ask what she does/uses. :)

I love sand.. I can get aquarium sand in Blue, Black and white. It gives it that saltwater look. I think rocks are a thing of the past. Sand looks so much cleaner and peaceful. I also have naturally planted tanks with sand and it does great. I put root tabs under the sand bed and put my plants, After a couple months all my plants had a great rooting system...
Go sand all the way

The only plants I have had issues with floating out of the sand are my big sword plants..I think it is my cory cats going crazy at night though..haha

Yes, cory cats do go crazy at night... and in the morning, you can see how they've sifted through the sand.... leaving 'tracks' of a sort...
