Distance between tanks?

Hi, I'm a new member on this site. I have had one betta fish for about a month, and today I bought a second. They each have their own tank, and I was wondering how far apart they need to be to keep the fish from being stressed out. Can I put them on the same table?

Yup, you can have them right next to each others' tanks if you slip a piece of paper between the tanks. :)

Mine are just on either side of a bookshelf, about a foot apart. They don't seem to notice each other.

Thanks everyone! The older one didn't like it when I put the new one there, so I put a box between them and they're fine now.

Irish Dancing Man- yes, but I'm not very good at dance

i have 6 males in the one tank, divided using clear glass.

its been running for around 3 months now and not one of them exhibits any signs of stress from seeing their neighbours.

if anything they are all totally bored of oneanother now.

so if they can see one another i wouldn't get too excited, they appear to eventually learn that they cant get at each other and swim off.

Phil.

My three boys lived side by side on my desk. They didn't really notice each other! Until my two new AB kids come home, its just one guy on my desk, one in my basement :)

Cup, Chappy, and Lulu are right next to each other, with only a half a foot between them. BUT, since Chappy's tank is round, they rarely get a good look at her. i see little, if no flaring from them, not even Cup, who's a little flare monster.

my other three close tanks, are Theo, Zidane, and Ichi. them, however, i'd have to put borders between. Theo doesn't give two cares about neither boy, but i did notice alot of flaring from Zidane, and while Ichi doesn't mind Theo, whenever Theo gets a glance at Ichi, since he can't really tell what Ichi is, he wiggles excitedly at him, and i think that constant attention stresses Ichi out a little bit.
