I thought I'd drop by with an update.

She's still alive albeit barely at this point. Over this past weekend I showed the pictures of her to a veterinarian friend who specializes in exotics and fish and she immediately said it's an internal bacteria or parasite infection. When i mentioned that I was told that it's dropsy she said that it absolutely is not dropsy, the raised scales can happen from simply the bloating. She gave me a treatment recommendation and I'll let you know how that goes.
