Canadian Transhiper.

So we have a new canadian transhiper for AB. I bought two bettas almost a month ago, and my communication with this new guy has been very confusing and almost seems like he is trying to rip me off... First i emailed him asking how much transhipping is, he says $40.00. I send him 40$.... almost 2 weeks later he said i need to send an extra 15$ for the 'transhipping fee' i send that. Then just yesterday he said I had to send him an extra $20 for a heat pack... I thought that was all included in the $40???? Is this guy trying to rip me off? THat would be 75$ JUST on transhipping?! Im finding this quite ridicules.

not sure about the rest, but $20 for a heat pack definitely doesn't seem right, seeing as most of the people who charge for heat packs on aquabid say like $2-3 for them

I paid for everything in one payment right before he shipped them so I never had an issue with him adding extra costs.
His fees are a little on the high side, but he does a really good job so I don't mind paying.

This is his bill for me from last time.

6 bettas x 15$ = 90$ ( shipping cost from Thailand to me + airport fee and custum clear...)
+ 40$ for nextday delivery to your address
+ 10$ for safe box
+10$ for heat pack( don't worry, i use the best heat pack, 72 Hours )
Total: 150$ + 4% for Paypal: 6$
Grand total: 156$

Your cost sounds about the same as what I payed, I think the $20 includes the box and packing as well as the heat pack.

I just wish he would have told me THAT price before i paid and bought the fish, instead of $40, now another $15, and another $20.... Waste of money for a pet fish.

Yeah that is a lot of money to ship one betta, thats why I buy them six at a time. lol.
I'm sure he isn't trying to rip you off, thats the price he needs to charge to make a profit.
You also need to keep in mind that English isn't his first language, so he might not be quite sure about what you are asking.
