probably like 99% of them don't bother to take care of them at all
Cecil definitely has some fin damage, not sure if all the reddish on his anal fin is from fin damage, but he's got some bloody looking specks that pretty much for sure are, and most of his rays look rather worn away as well. may have to do a salt treatment on him, but he's pretty active and doesn't seem miserable, so for right now just planning on lot of clean water and keeping a super close eye on him

and yeah, he has super cute little lips, hard to see in pictures, but they're a bit of a darker color, and look rather full, lol

Definitely a nice find. And walmart too? Talk about luck! Hard to find that color, I would have gobbled him up as well and bought a new tank to hold him the same day.

luckily I already had a 2 gallon and extra heater sitting at home for now. he'll probably end up going in a 10 that I'll eventually be setting up and most likely dividing. just have to figure out where to put it, lol

his fin rot started looking worse and I started treating him with aq salt, then this morning I wake up to see his stomach looking swollen even though he hadn't eaten at all yet, switched him to epsom salt as per OFL's advice, but seems it was too late and just found him dead. poor beautiful little boy :(
