Oh, come on! You don't have to change their bedding nearly as often as you have to clean a tank, and it doesn't weigh as much as water does!

True, very true...but I still live with the parents, and they'd be opposed to it. Maybe not my mom, but my dad always talks about "thinning out the herd" and they only let me have four fish because they're quiet and don't smell :P

Well! How dare they. LOL. When I have kids, I want to make sure they have all the experiences with pets that they can. I want to teach them how to respect animals and take care of them PROPERLY. They'll never grow up thinking a Betta can go in a tiny bowl or a Hamster in a cage the size of a shoebox. LOL.

Meee tooo but we already have three dogs, a cat, 2 ADF's, and my mom's hamster (that bites). My dad's just not an animal person. I'm totally getting a ragdoll cat and a bearded dragon when I move out, though.

Aww, I'd love to have a Ragdoll kitten/cat! And beardies are SO cute!

That's what i think :) My main thing is having a cat that actually likes me being affectionate at it, because my current one... not so much.
