I'm gonna add some suggestions, based on what Cassandra said. :3
I got my fish tank at Walmart too, but mine's a 5 gallon. I'm not sure if our filters are the same or not, but I didn't have to use the bottle baffle method. I got an aquarium sponge from Petsmart. It's called the Fluval edge sponge or something like that. xD It works great. My betta loves it. It stops him from getting sucked up in the intake, and it helps slow the outflow so it doesn't push him around as much.

I know you've heard this at least 10 times, but welcome~

Your fish (just thought you'd want to know) are absolutely stunning. with bigger, cleaner, and heated tanks, their color might actually get more bright (if that's possible XD), and they'll definately be more happy. For now, I suggest doing 100% water changes every single day until you have their upgraded tanks ready. The water changes may be a bit stressful, but it'll keep a lot of bacteria and ammonia from building up, and it'll help keep them healthy and happy. Clean water IMO is one of the best preventatives and cures for fish. ^-^
