Can someone correct me if I am wrong?

But I was on aquabid, and guppynuts, http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/aucti...ller&Guppynuts, had 5 "Young Crowntail Males" listed for $1. is it just me or are those fins too sloppy to be crowntails and most likely a batch gone wrong from crossing a crowntail with another tail like halfmoon or something? i am not sure because i am new to this and dont know standards or anything, I just look for ones I have connections with haha

Yep, those are all bad crosses, which is why he is trying so hard to get rid of them.

It looks more like they were HMs with bad fin rot/tail biting issues than CTs....

I have to admit that the second and fifth "CT" aren't too bad, to my untrained eye. I would think if they actually were spawned rather than kept as pets, if they were spawned with a true CT female and the best fry were continually spawned with CTs rather than any other tail type, the fins would be bred out.

I would honestly be giving some of those away. You can't sell the 4th one for $16, seriously... they really do look more like fin nippers than CTs. Very sad.

LOL, I love how he says they are "show stoppers".
I don't think they are worth $16.00 at all. Too messy fins.

I've noticed quite a few US sellers are less than reputable! What a shame!
