Would that be bloat or just a chunky fish? My Zen looks a bit tubby like that, but only because he keeps stealing the frog's nibbles.

I'm sure fish don't get fat. Please ask others on the forum about that as well, as I have limited experience with this. But it sure lookslike bloat to me...

Meet Zen.. he's been this chunky for quite some time, and it's my understanding that bloat kills rather quickly. I am attempting to put both fish and frog on a diet.. (as i type that, the frog left a gem right at the front of the tank to let me know exactly what she thinks of that idea ).

Haha lol. Echo, I can't really see.

At sudhar,

Are the tubifex worms freeze dried? How often do you clean the tank? How many worms daily? Bettas need worms and pellet food as their staple diet. I feed my fish tetracolor pellets and FD bloodworms.

yes it is freeze dried .. i actually do 30% water change once in four days i feed him once a day very little about the size of his eye .. i will be getting blood worm coming month so that i can use it for my Betta fish as well as my another community tank . so till then he will be continuing with tubeifex worms

i use frozen bloodworms. they come in blocks you can cut into smaller pieces and keep refrigerated for up to 3 days (just put the cut up pieces in a zip-lock freezer baggie and pop them back in the freezer, then take a piece out as needed.. they thaw quickly).
