I thought he might perk up :) Jennifer said she's had a betta live for 17 days in its shipping box (it was lost!). They are amazing little creatures! <3

I'm glad your fishie is all right. I just noticed one thing that I have to nitpick - the thermometer. I used to have one of the same type in with my fish, and he got a big gash in his side from rubbing against it. If your guy more or less ignores it, it should be fine, but you may want to get another one just to be safe.

It's funny you just posted that, TheCrysCat. I'm getting another one. I had to remove it after my Mom called me out saying the fish looked stuck. He kept trying to wedge himself between it and the wall. My other betta ignores it completely.

And 17 days? Wow... that's amazing. I hope the poor fellow got pampered and super spoiled afterwards!

I cant really see the thermometer.. can u please post a link to the one you are talking about? because i have 3 of the same in my tanks, and 2 of my three boys love swimming around it and between it and the glass... b/c of shapes of tanks like .5-1 inch gap so big enough haha
