Cheapo Canon from Walmart, haha. Bought it Wednesday, cost me 150 with the 2GB Sd card. My sister is a photographer, so I try and pick up as many tricks from her as I can.

Introducing the parents!

This is Big Al, formerly known as Alice. Traditional Plakat (as far as I can tell, pretty sure he's not a HMPK)

Here's Layla. She's a VT, I would have loved to breed 2 PK but it's impossible to find them at Petco, and I thought they would make such a lovely couple. I will probably be breeding the VT out of the line as best as I can, but we'll see what this spawn brings me.

Her colors are not exactly how this picture shows, her colors are also looking different after the spawning, but generally she has a greenish/blue marbling.

Ohhhh! Hmmm, have any plans for the fry when they are bigger? ;)

Your female looks like she's a CT though....or maybe CT traits?

Delta really? Hm.... Well these fry shall be interesting!

I may have most of them sold, we'll see how many of them turn out! I will definitely try to continue this line though so mayhaps more of similar colors next time around :)

They are still little guys, they are about a week old now, I think they are going to be slow growers, I've tried to compare with pictures I've seen of other spawns I think these guys are a little behind.

Any tips?

Update

Figured I would just stick to this thread

Here are some pictures of the babies. They are about a month and a half old now.
Wanted some opinions on how people think they are growing (about average, below average rate, etc.)
Below I have group picture in their tub, and then close ups of one of the larger babies. The pictures are taken in a Petco. betta cup just so you have a better idea of the size.

Thanks!
