Pellets are too big!

I just went to Petsmart and bought these really great pellets. Both fish love them and gobble them down right away.

However, when I was feeding Suki, the pelets seemed to big for her, so she would chew on it, spit it out, chew on it then spit it out untill in was small enough to swallow. How can I make the pellets small enough for her to eat?

had the same problem. soak the pellets in water (garlic optional), squish them in your fingers and use a toothpick to take tiny pieces off the pellet that the fish can swallow without spitting.

Or just lightly crush them until they're small enough. Manufacturers don't realize that even pellets made especially for bettas are often too big for their little mouths, especially the females. Females in petstores are often barely older than fry so they're soooo tiny with corresponding tiny mouths.

Thanks guys! I tried both methods and they worked. Suki now loves to gobble down her little pellets now. :)
