About died...

Whilst changing the water for King's tank, I put him in one of those little betta cups they come in from the petstore, and set him up on my kitchen counter. I had to walk away for a sec to download a game to my PS3, and when I come back (I was gone maybe...15 min?) HE WAS GONE! :O ! I freaked so hard. I looked everywhere..and I mean under the fridge, in between the stove, under the microwave. Eventually I found him almost dried to a crisp on the floor...THE FLOOR. He took a 4 foot dive off the counter and flopped his way over almost into the bathroom O__O;. I immediately plopped him in the cup and put the cup into his newly filled tank.
He's doing fine now, but he's all clamped up...poor dear.

I almost dropped one of my own because he was flapping too much over the net.. uugh :V

Never had problems with them jumping out though.

Hope he gets better >_>

Aw, I'm glad he's OK.
Similar thing happened to me with Drama Queen. Took her a few days to recover completely, but let me tell you, she has NEVER tried to jump again. :P
LIDS LIDS LIDS. :P

Glad he's OK!

I wouldn't be surprised anymore! These fish love to jump...I haven't met one yet that hasn't tried to jump out or hasn't succeeded once...The same thing happened to me during water change once on the counter...I had a lid on the container, but somehow it slipped off or something..I came back and he was gone! found him laying on the counter though...I had one fish that somehow jumped up 3 inches and out a 1x2" hole in the hood! They must have amazing eyesight...
