Uh oh (TMI thread)

Wartooth just pooped out waste the size of a PEA.

He's on a food schedule so what the heck! Is that even normal?? I don't think it is so what should I do?

Perhaps fast him for a couple days, or maybe you're feeding too much?

I feed him two pellets in the morning and two pellets at night around 12 hours apart... :\ He didn't seem bloated or upset but my god what I found totally shocked me. I normally wouldn't even bother making a thread about something like that but that can't be normal. haha

I had a betta do that to when he saw another male betta. I wouldnt worry about it if its not something that happens all the time.

I've been having that prob with my female.
I removed the live plant I had in with her, and so far the prob seems to have been fixed for now at least...
I'm going to keep an eye on things.

I've got her on Epsom salt treatments...

I'm beginning to think that bettas are like humans - some go a lot every day, some have one big one every few days. I can't tell with my male since he's got gravel but my female is one of the big one every few days kind. I'm cutting down on her pellets and searching for daphnia. I did fast her yesterday and it was the first time since I got her that she went twice in a day.

in four-feets it's called a dingleberry but at least to a (then) newbie it helped me figure out where a betta's "hind end" is located
