Heater Power Plug

I was considering buying a heater for Peewee's 2.5 gallon on ebay, but noticed most of the heaters are from other countries. Would the power plug be the same or differant to one in Australia? I don't want to buy a heater to find out the power plug doesn't fit in

It probably will be, but there are also plug converters you can buy if that is the case.

Depending on the actual dimensions of your tank, you might be able to fit (I have mine horizontally) an adjustable Aquaone 25 watt heater in there. They're cheap to purchase from your fish or pet store, and here's an example of price from an Australian online outlet:

I've been looking at some Australian heaters online, a little bit more expensive than the ones on ebay. Depends what I find :)

The only problem with using eBay and even buying online, is whether or not the heater you purchase comes with a warranty in case it malfunctions or is otherwise faulty a year or so down the track.

I know my Eheim Jagers (one of the best heaters available here) are covered by something like a three year warranty in case one explodes or starts a fire etc. Just something else to consider
