Maybe a snail for mi's tanks?

I have a 10 gallon divided 3 ways with the boys on the side and the girl in the middle, my son wants to get a snail to put in the tank, but I'm afraid the bio load will be too big with 3 bettas and a snail, what do you guys think? I have little qt tanks (like 1 gl and a 1.5 gl one) that I could set up for a snail if he can't be in the 10 gl...I mean if that's not too small for the snail, I don't know much about them. I'm gonna do some research but I thought I might ask here about the bio load since I see alot of you keep snails as well.

What kind of snail? And what % weekly water change are you doing? I have a divided 10G with two guys in there. I do 50% changes weekly.

A mystery snail (black if that matters any) I do 10% every other day so about 40% weekly but I'm upping that to 10% daily starting today because of a fin issue with my orange VT.

I would get the guy/ gal into an AQ salt treatment. Get him into a separate QT container and use 1 tsp of AQ salt per gallon for 10-14 days and 100% water changes daily. Do not put the AQ salt into you entire tank, it's bad for longterm use.

I believe apple/mystery snails need 2.5 gallons, they get about the size of a golfball, a bit bigger.
I definitely think you could get an apple/mystery snail. They DO NOT help clean the tank though, just to warn you.
