Well let's hope so! lol I'll keep an eye on him and we'll see how it goes. Change the water a bit more frequently. Maybe I'll end up with a turqouise betta. hey, it's my favorite color!!! :)

I couldn't get the pic to show up can you post the pic on here.....

In a 3gal filtered tank...water changes of twice weekly 50%...1-50% water only and 1-50% to include substrate vacuum....even with the nitrogen cycle due to the limited surface area the cycle isn't as stable and twice weekly water changes are needed to maintain water quality and then you also have DOC's (dissolved organic compounds) that can build up and be problematic...the only way to control this is with water changes since this is a closed system...

Long term salt can also be an issue with this species of fish.....the long term health problems it can cause is just one problem...the other is creating resistants and when you need the salt for treatment it may not be as effective....long term salt is not needed or recommended....IMO/E....
