Which male would you breed with this female?

To get similar traits to hers or expand it out to the fins? I do not currently own any of these fish (though that can easily change, just trying to resist it).

Which of these males would you choose?

1.

2.

3.

4.

Is anybody good with genetics on bettas here?

i, myself, would chose the first male. his colors are close to hers(just not the cute, adorable markings), and his fins just seem fuller to my eyes. but, i'm no breeding expert. x:

She is a marble ......She would probably do best bred to a sibling male ...I'd spawn her to a blue marble sib...........If you did want to do an outcross the #1 male is the best out of all the above...She would not do well bred to the #4 fish....He is a dragon...

From what little knowledge I have, I would say #1 as well. I would look into the option of a sibling marble too, that way you know what you'll get and just hope for the right pattern. She is some gorgeous though!

Martinismommy who made post #3 is her breeder, so I'm sure you could ask her about siblings :p

I personally wouldn't breed to any of the above male.... but that's just me..... because she is an 8 end ray and all the male's fins have excessive branching. Notice male #3 and #4 has folded caudals.

Excessive fins are ok if they can spread fully, otherwise they have a potential of becoming folded. So if both male and female have excessive branching, imagine what the offspring will be come. But if you insist on choosing one of the above male, I'd go with #1.
