I just fed her about an hour ago, she had a small shrimp pellet dropped in her tank last night.. she's my first female so I can't tell if she's just being eggy or if she's bloated. She's swimming around as normal but I want to make sure it's not something serious before I go to bed. Here's a picture, took it while I was changing her water.

She looks eggy to me. Usually when they are eggy, their ovipositor or the white "egg spot" sticks out more and their stomach turns a little whiter.

Good to know it's not bloat.. hate it when my fish look all fat cuz I know I'm not overfeeding them. lol.. Not sure why she's eggy though she's no where near sight of any males.. perhaps she's just finally maturing since when I bought her she looked like a wittle baby one or maybe the new girl I got for my birthday? Would seem odd to get all eggy over another female being present but that's the only tank in her view.

They can get very confused. Some girls in sororities get breeding stripes. But she really doesn't look bloated to me. If you're lucky, you may spy her dropping her eggs sometime so you'll know for sure that she was just eggy.
