Smile Newf meets new friend

Newf got a new friend in his tank on Monday night! Here's a pic of their first meeting!

You can just hear Newf thinking, "What is that? WHAT IS THAT?!!! It's in my TANK! And it MOVES! It's UGLY, too! ". lol

I put some food in for the snail earlier today, and I just looked over to see Newf on top of the food, giving the snail the stink eye!

To which I reply, "No, dear, you can't eat it...but if you don't back up, it might try to eat you."

When i saw him in the store, I almost did a happy dance! Plus, he's locally bred, which was fantastic! I posted another thread here with pics of him flaring called 'Just cuz he's awesome', or something like that. He's quite a friendly boy (except to the snail! lol). The breeder interacts with her fish a lot.

I got two new fish from the lady who bred Newf, and while I was there, she asked if I wanted some snails, cause she had tons, so I took enough for all of my tanks.

*swooooooon* I is sooo jealous. I'm going to have to steal Newf when I get back!
Yea, she knows how to get her guys to pose (when they aren't spastic). It's amazing how momma tapping the lid of the tank can make him pose all prettily.
Again... gorgeous! Jealous!
