Question tankmates for a male betta?

I have a twenty gallon with plants and I was wondering if I could keep harlequin rasboras and false juli corys? Are there any other ideas? And is there a way to test his temperament before adding him to a community??

Well,I'm afraid I can't be much of a help here but,the cories should be okay.you might also be able to get some mystery snails too.To test his temperment just float the bags that the fish come in and see if he flares. Most likely outcome is he will.

I think you should be okay with those fish in a 20g, make sure to add the other fish first so the betta doesnt have time to set up a "territory". If you add the betta first then he'll be aggressive 'cause he thinks the others are all up in his grill. XD Even so, he may still be aggressive, it depends on the fish but if he is just get another tank for the little gaffer. :)
