I wish I could have one of those fancy rimless ADA tanks... But I, being the poor college kid that I am, have to made do with what I have. And that happened to be an old 10 gal lying around. Had an idea for another tank so I de-rimmed it. Spend an hour or two last night removing the rim. Then I went to Home Depot this morning to buy Goo-gone to help remove all the silicone gunk (it really helped). I left the corners intact though. I actually like how it looks. What do you guys think?
I will be doing a walstad style tank with this. it will be about 1/3 filled. Trying to make a marginal plant type setup with this. Going to have plants rooted at the soil which will grow up & above the water line. Already got some emmersed hygro from one of those petco tube plants. Going to a local stream later on to collect more plants later. This will be my first soil based tank...Will post it in the low tech forum when I get it set up.
