The plan for more bettas ;)

So.. I have 30 bucks and an empty 5 gallon tank plus two 2.5 gallon bowls.. I'm thinking of the next time I go to Petco, Petsmart etc. while my mom is getting cat food and treats, I will sneak over to the betta section and buy two males. I will put the males in the 2.5g bowls (I have one girl in each now) and putting the two girls in the 5g. So I'll have a total of 3 males in about 2.5g bowls (Brent is already in one) and my two girls will be in the 5g!

Good plan?

I believe if you are going to have females you would need to have more than 2 so they can establish a "pecking order".

Agreed. If you're going to have females in the 5g you need a divider. Females establish a pecking order, and with just two, one will bully the other until she dies quite possibly. The minimum for keeping girls together is 4+ and a 10 gallon tank.

Why not just buy one male for the 5 gallon? Sororities take lots of knowledge, time, and adjustments to work.
