BIG favor from Phoenix, AZ resident

My fish is seriously sick. He's got all sorts of issues right now (dropsy for sure and a bunch more) and has had them for about 1.5 months now.

He was starting to get better, but I had to leave the state and won't be back for a month. I couldn't leave him at home because I knew my family would let him die (overfeed and not do water changes in his hospital jar) so I gave him to my boyfriend. He doesn't know a thing about fish but I knew he could take better care of him than my parents and brothers.

I thought that I was making a good decision (I did) but he doesn't know my fish well enough to make a good assessment of his health. According to him, my betta has gotten worse in the past few days since I left him there. He's currently in a plastic tub that is heated and medicated with tetracycline. I haven't seen a decent picture of him yet, but I've been told that my fish is in a downward spiral.

This is a huge favor that I'm asking, but I'm all out of options:
Is there anyone in the Phoenix area (mainly ASU Tempe) that would be willing to take my fish and try to nurse it back to health?

I know it's asking a lot but I don't want to let my fish die while I'm gone. I don't have much, but I could provide compensation when I get back. PM me for details.
Thank you

I'm so sorry your fish is sick, nunuchan. I wish I lived closer to help you. But my thoughts are with you and I hope your fish makes a full recovery.

He died within a couple hours of me posting this. That downward spiral had to come to an end at some point or another.
