The snake looks to thick to be a rat snake. I am going to say a Mexican Black King or Chocolate California King.

Someone did come and claim the snake. The owner is house sitting in North Pole which is about 15 miles south of here but his friend came and got the snake for him. He said it was a Boa Constrictor and it has been missing for 5 days . He said his friend found it in this building a while ago . There WAS A lady that kept snakes here - BIG snakes. She lives in one of the basement apartments. Her and her mother used to be the office mangers of this place till it was sold in december 2009. Then I guess she moved away.

I would of been pissed if it killed my chinchilla

I wonder how long it was in here?

http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ec..._rat_snake.htm

the 1st pic is almost exactly what I saw when I found him (curled up and sticking his toung out at me). I think it may of been a rat snake or something very similar to it.

When I saw the pic and was reading through the thread I had a feeling it was a boa constrictor. I had pet one when I was ten and it looked just like that just...Tinyish. The one I got to pet was a baby still but the coloring was the same.

Boa Constrictor?? Huh, at least he didn't get a hold of anything....

I think if you're in a place like where you are, you all should have lists of animals you own, (for your building) so if someone finds one, you can return it easily.

How the heck did the snake make its way that far to your fridge?? *scratcheshead*

I would have needed CPR administered if I saw any kind of snake in my house.

I'm glad you found the owner.
