yay walmart!

shocking! but, mom had to go to walmart today, so i tagged along. i headed straight for the fish department, and was shocked when i got there!

no bettas. x: not even space for them! instead, there were many great tanks! 3 different 3 gallons, one 2.5, a few one gallons, and 1.5's, and a 1.8 gallon. i mean, yeah, they had the tiny betta tanks, and some vases, but the shelves were mostly stocked with the bigger tanks. the smaller tanks were shoved in a corner. x: i was really happy to see that! if my sister ever pays me back that $30, i may get that 2.5 gallon. x:

and, it's even called the 'betta wave'! and has a picture of a beautiful red veil male on the box.

it's a wonderful sign! that, they're stopping with the bettas, and instead selling tanks FOR bettas. <3 i really hope my sister pays me back the money she owes me, cause i'm buying a tank, and spoiling a betta. :d

I wish they sold those tanks here, I would have a couple for mine!

My Walmart stopped selling Bettas in 2005, I got the last male they had. That was my Joey, he was grey when I brought him home (sitting at the bottom of the cup) and he ended up being a pure orange (no red) VT. I miss him terribly.

Yay! Hope this means walmarts going out of fish business!

i got my walmart's last betta, too! :D my niece's blue CT, King Steve. they got rid of their fish section 10 years ago! so, it was horrifying to see betta cups on their shelves. thankfully, King Steve was their last living betta, and he's doing SUPER well! :D i need to get updated pics of him!
