Water changing schedule?

I do 10% water changes daily (scooping out the size of the pet store cup and refreshing that) and 100% weekly. This works out great, and the 10% changes are easy.. But 7 fish in one day all in seperate tanks.. O_o

I thought about since I have 7 fish, doing 1 fish a day with 100% changes so I can space it out and not be so exhausted after doing them. Would that be a good idea? Here's how I'd do it.


Heather - Monday 100% change, 10% every day.
Brent - Tuesday 100% change, 10% every day.
Suellen - Wednesday 100% change, 10% every day.
Skyden - Thursday 100% change, 10% every day.
Aubin - Friday 100% change, 10% every day.
Garland - Saturday 100% change, 10% every day.
Icen - Sunday 100% change, 10% every day.

So yeah, good plan? Please don't say my 10% changes are dumb or to change something because it's been helpful and useful since I've been doing it, it's just tiring with 7 fish in one days 100% changes.

No, I've read of several people doing daily changes of 10-20%. I think its a great idea.

Also doing a 100% change for a different fish every day is brilliant. Just remember which day it is and for which fish, otherwise you might end up skipping one.

I actually use google calendar to keep track of all my water changes. makes it easier if I'm doing some kind of treatment to keep track of how many days they've been on it as well

Imagine having the big tanks and figuring out what to change. I had 3 tanks that needed 50%/25% and 100% once a week, and I only have certain days I can do it lol

Anyways, I think the 10% a day is better than 50% a week :) And much easier on you haha The way I see it, it's good to have a steady flow of clean water, rather than it building up for days and then being cleaned!

Just a thought: maybe 3 divided 5 gallon tanks, and one smaller, maybe that would be easier?

But your schedule is a work of genius. I only have two bettas ATM, so WCs aren't a real hassle.
