No, not usually. Theyre a bit expensive, around $8 for the large ones.

They come in betta cups, LOLOL!

What do you have on the back-drop or your tank, and what size is it? It's pretty, and the photos are nice too :)

When I first saw the moss balls at Petsmart, I was like, "What the heck?! Those are some fuzzy bettas." Then I read the label O.o

Aww Shadow is awsome =) grats! I like your tank too, all the plants look green and lush. What is the substrate? It does not look like regular gravel.

Thanks everyone!

Answering some questions, I got my moss balls from local hobbyist for about $5 each hehe.

As for the background, it was just some aquarium background I got from PJ pets, blue with some patterns of differnt sides of blue to white

As for my substrate, I am trying out the fluval stratum substrate for plants... so far seems like my plants are loving it!

Shadow Boxer is MORE than stunning. Love him!!!

Your tank looks LUSH and fantastic! If you ever breed him... put me down for some fry.

I was inspired by this and went out and bought a moss ball along with my new betta (pics soon ;) ). It's so cute, but omg expensive!

I put it in my 55 gal and all my baby guppies (30+) flocked to it like it was their god! O-O I wish I could find some moss balls that were bigger... like 5 inches in diameter. The one I got is maybe 2 inches.
