Isolated white cotton growths

Hi

Its jus been a week since i bought myh new fish tank. Its a 8 gallon tank. I have only one VT in it.

Today morning i noticed some isolated single cotton like growths on the the tank. Is it fungus. how can i eliminate them.

Please help. appreciate your response.

Think I'd start over Vibs. Take the betta out, wash the tank and whatever else with a little salt water, and refill with dechloronated water. Try not to use soap. If possible you should get that tank heated and filtered...it's large enough.
