Sorry to bother you about Xan again...

So, I got him flakes that he sorta eats, kinda puts it in his mouth and spits them back up and goes after pieces again? I'm trying to crumble them up as small as possible so I dunno...
But I think he's clamping his fins now... *sigh* always something. He doesnt react to his reflection, though he never really did since i got him, so i dont know if he's just bored or not. Oh, also when i fed him a blood worm today, he attacked the heck out of it. Was kinda cool, i hope thats normal. The Amazon Swords in my tank are getting yellowish spots on them, I dont know if that will help anyone figure out anything or not. I changed the water... probably two days ago...

He sounds kind of stressed. And honestly, when I first got my Jazz he wouldn't eat flakes; so I had to feed him bloodworms. Almost a month later he still will not eat flakes. So it could just be he's a bit picky.

If it's stress, almond leaf tannins/decaf unflavored green tea tannins/oak leaf tannins are all very helpful. Makes your water yellow for a bit, but that's okay. lol. Also, stress coat is really nice.

My newest betta has been really stressed, my Callisto, so I added conditioner that already had Almond Leaf extract in it, stress coat, and a tsp of epsom salt and I'm already seeing improvement. I'm not sure if that helps at all.

It might help if anywhere around me sold -any- of that stuff... >< I suppose i can check for teas though i heard they were hard to find...would be my best bet. Though that kind of makes sense, he has been hiding in his cave a lot.

Um locally you should be able to find epsom salt just about anywhere that sells pharmaceutical stuff. I bought mine at Dollar General, a huge thing of it for $3. WalMart, anywhere like that should have it. As to teas, again, walmart. It doesn't have to be a specific green tea, just a green tea with NO extra flavors, and decaf. :)

:3 You can use Oak leaves or Almond leaves, but the tea is generally pretty easy to get a hold of. Oak leaves even easier if you have oak trees near you.
