I recommend exercising before dinner. If you exercise after dinner, your body stops metabolising your food (same with the no swimming after eating rule). Then, after you stop exercising and try to sleep, your body starts metabolising your dinner, keeping you awake.
If you exercise before dinner, it will stimulate your appetite so you can eat better :)

Crys, try turkey lunch meat before bed. There's something I read about protein before bed helping you sleep (can't remember) and turkey makes you sleepy naturally. Or a glass of milk might work too. I've always had trouble sleeping. I take Melatonin every night. Sometimes benadryl if my husband is havin' a snorefest.

Postprandial somnolence occurs when you eat foods that are high in tryptophan. Turkey/Chicken and I think beef? Are good to eat, also I believe soymilk is good too. Look for high tryptophan foods on TEH INNERNETS.
In any case, my sleeping schedule is pretty whack. I go to bed maybe at like 4am almost everyday and wake up at noon, lolol. That will change once I'm back at university though, XD
