It took him a few days, but Al settled into his new 3 gallon home nicely and has seemed quite the happy little fishy. he's even built a couple of nice bubble nests! But... I noticed the other day that his tail seemed shorter. I compared it to the pictures I took when we first moved him, and sure enough, there's quite a big difference.
There's no discoloration on the tips, so I don't think it's fin rot. He seems perfectly healthy and happy otherwise... Do you think he's biting?
For the record, he's in a 3 gallon tank, and I've been doing water changes twice a week - one 50% and one 100%. I was thinking about adding another 50% in between since the tips of some of his fins are curling a bit and I read that less than perfect water conditions can cause that.
Any ideas/suggestions?
